Meet the Author

David Mittler has been a lifelong reisident of northern Ohio, growing up in the shadows of Cascade Park and still making his home in Elyria.  Since his graduation from Otterbein College, he has been continuously involved in education, serving as a junior high language arts teacher, a college English and writing instructor, and presently as the assistant principal of St. Richard School in North Olmsted.

Throughout his years as an educator, he has shared with students many of his humorous experiences about growing up in the 1950s and 60s (see surrounding pictures), and the popularity of his storytelling inspired him to write his two novels: Love, Eddie and Legacy of Fire.
